Chef Jessica Makdisi developed a menu of food items and curated a wine and beer list that uniquely displays local flavors.
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - AUGUST 9, 2022 - Fiume [fyoo-me] Pizzeria and Wine Bar is one of the newest riverwalk restaurants in San Antonio, TX.Texapoletana - a word you haven't heard before- best describes the unique menu offerings you'll find at Fiume Pizzeria and Wine Bar.
Nestled alongside the bustling sidewalks of downtown San Antonio near the Arneson River Theater, you can't miss its signature Ferrari-red Fiero oven on its open-air patio. Menu items feature various Texas-sourced products from farms, wineries, and breweries around the state, spotlighting the vast diversity of the state's offerings. Texas-sourced menu highlights include our hydroponically grown True Harvest lettuces topped with Zesty Texas olive oil, Texas Heat Pizza - made with a combination of Texas smoked bacon and Italian sweet peppers, and for dessert - our homemade gelato featuring local berries.
The wild yeast utilized in each pizza was cultivated in the first months of the pandemic. Since then, this fermented "mother" has given the dough a natural, deep yeast flavor that commercial yeast lacks. Chef Jessica takes the primary inspiration and baking processes from the authentic Neapolitan pizza and pushes the flavors in new and exciting directions highlighting Texas ingredients. The front-of-house operations will be managed by Shea Tupy, who brings 16 years of experience to the position.
This riverwalk restaurant proudly supports local vendors, wineries and breweries, farms, and other partners that exemplify the unique legacy of Texas. You will find dispersed throughout the menu these offerings that offer a sample of the culinary excellence our state exudes. Fiume will also participate in Culinaria Restaurant Week with a special dinner menu. We are inspired daily by the city, people, and resources surrounding us - and strive to showcase them to locals and visitors alike.
Opening hours will be 7 days a week from 5:00 pm-10:00 pm at 200 S Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78205 on the river level.

About Fiume:
The word Fiume, which in English means river, was also once a city in Italy known as a cultural melting pot at the height of its existence. Similarly, the San Antonio River is the core of our dynamic and diverse city. The bustling, vibrant, and colorful sidewalks along our Historic River Walk are full of rich diversity and lend themselves to the only riverfront fire-oven pizza restaurant in San Antonio.
Fiume's vision and the menu exemplify an elevated dining experience revered for its deep local roots and hyperlocal culinary craftsmanship. Our artisan, Texas-crafted pizza incorporates local flavors that highlight Neapolitan-style pizza in what we define as Texapoletana.
