Nestled in a country antique and home goods store in downtown Floresville, The Back Door Café serves yummy soups and sandwiches!
FLORESVILLE - Nothing is more essential than community and family support when making dreams come true, and that is all the truer for Tammy and Garret Watson when they were building The Back Door Café in the small town of Floresville.
Word travels fast in a small town such as this, and all they want is to see you shine. Gears began to turn when Mrs. Watson's aunt and owner of the store called; the rest was history with the café's official opening on May 31st of this year.
This establishment is family-owned by the kindest people who love to cook. In partnership with their nieces, Taylor and Jules, behind the counter, preparing deliciously fresh sandwiches, soups, and salads.
"We saw there was a demand for a sandwich shop, and all the people that we know around here are great people." Garret Watson said.
A lot of heart and soul went into the café, from Mrs. Watson's kitchen to the Henrietta Chicken Salad sandwich naming. There is coziness in a sandwich made by a loving mother after coming home from school, the Cali Turkey sandwich, which is a must-try.
Ask about their Soup of the Day as we experienced the Tomato soup that was rich with flavor!
Located inside Home Market Place on 3rd in Floresville, Texas, and open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., you'll be warmly welcomed to The Back Door Café, as the clever name suggests.
