San Antonio, Texas. March 27, 2023 - Wild Barley Kitchen & Brewing in San Antonio, is home to a vast menu of delicious food, beer, and drinks. The atmosphere is welcoming and kind, a place you want to settle down at and talk and hang out with your friends.
The idea for Wild Barley came from the owners Holland Lawrence and Marc Fogelson when they were still at school in College Station. They were inspired to create a brewery and kitchen that supplied great food and service, as well as in-house brewing. Their idea came to fruition about 5 years ago and has continued to grow ever since.
A local San Antonian, Holland fell back in love with the city after leaving for college and found that the city and the food scene had changed and improved, and he wanted to be a part of it.
Built for families, friends, and everyone in between, Wild Barley is meant for all to enjoy.
Unique Dishes
The food menu at Wild Barley is a delightful mix of classic pub fare and innovative dishes. From hearty burgers and bagels to beer and wood-fired pizzas, there's something for everyone. Feast on the delicious Seta Y Jamon pizza, featuring succulent caramelized onions, delicate prosciutto, oven-roasted mushrooms, rich garlic confit, and a mouthwatering drizzle of savory fermented garlic honey. Or, savor the timeless Margherita, featuring creamy mozzarella, aromatic basil, and juicy tomatoes.
Brewing with Passion and Creativity
An entrepreneur at heart, Holland was inspired to start his own brewery after working at another local spot in San Antonio. Leaning on his partner Mike, he set off on his own two feet and started brewing. The flavors he decides to brew with depend on what everyone around him is interested in and whatever happens to be calling to him. He exercises great creative freedom over his brews and spoke about how rewarding it was to see the whole process through from start to finish.
